How to build a SphericVR quickly
2008-04-17 by Quentin Lengelé
This movie requires Flash Player 9
Click and move your mouse over the image.
Again, you need to build a sphere with 3DStudioMax and export it in ASE format.
And your texture has to be a spherical shot to be applied on the sphere.
Take a look to my sources here.

Thanks!

2009-04-06 at 3:47 amGuys, great job. I am doing a panoram too, it is in beta version stage, and I have problems with processor productivity, looking for ways of optimisation. Your source code doesnt work, probably it contains deprecated classes of PV3D.
Anyway, good job!

2009-10-26 at 5:06 pmImmerVision is entering the Automotive Panomorph vision sensors with Samsung.
see: http://www.immervision.com/en/corporate/corporate_news/ImmerVision_Panomorph_Optic_for_the_Automotive_market.php
The new auto-vision panomorph camera is aiming outside viewing and sensing all around car but another version of the lens/camera can be made for interior applications such as Road-Side assistance, Accident reconstruction, passengers classification for intelligent air bags, anti-theft…

2010-05-01 at 10:53 pmhi, good one, i made one like this in a project, but i didnot use 3dsmax or other modelling programs, papervision has a primitive sphere to do this..
but in my experience it is better to use cube, it reduces distortions…
it is my knowledge, can be wrong, enlight me if i miss something..

2010-05-02 at 12:51 pmYou are absolutly right.
This post is quiet old and was created with PV3D 1.5.
In that condition, I got better performance with a sphere from 3DS.
But now with PV3D 2.0, I made a new library “Panorama3D” that handles Spheric & Cubic VR.
It will be available very soon.
